Fallow BuckQuad Bike Attachments.
Does anyone have reccomendations for spinners and boom sprayers for a quad?
I'm looking for soething that will be used to maintain copver crops on the shoot so the budget isn't entirely huge, but then it goes against the grain to buy cheap and cheerfull...
All suggestions welcome, especially if anyone has some second had kit surplus to requirements!!

griffK,
give me a ring, we have a friend who has just retired from a firm that makes sprayers for all applications..
I'm sure that you will find what you are looking for with him..

DeerdogsLogic is good gear but it is also damned expensive if you buy it new.
I sold all my farm kit on eBay when I emigrated.

Alex.Ykiri,
there a a few option on sprayers,
cheap and cheerful you have the the enduramaxx products, they do spray set ups in their silver series range, for a whole package of tank, lance and boom you will be looking at around £400
the other end of the spectrum you have the likes of logic and Cdax,
the cdax set up will cost in the region of £1000
on the whole the cheap set up is ok but depending what chemical and application you might have to add non drip pressure nozzles to it yourself at a cost of maybe £200
the logic and cdax come with all that jazz, the cdax also has a small 2l clean water res to clean stuff with .
not sure about spinners, im sure a few firms make them, logic definitely do
Dont forget you will also need to do a sprayer course if you do not already have PA1 & 2

Fallow BuckThanks for the pointers. The Logic stuff is good but out of the price range for the shoot syndicate.
I've looked at some of the stuff in the states but each make seems to be held on with its own mounting system that can become restrictive in choice for additional attachments.
Griff I'll give you a call this afternoon.

You know what they say . Buy the best and only weep once! Besides a rich guy like you should be able to find the "folding" easy enough.
I have purchased all of my nearly new Logic kit via either trade press adverts or dispersal sales. Usually ended up paying 30-60% of the dealer prices for almost unused equipment.
You should be able to pick up a nearly new OBS135S for around £350. The smaller versions are not worth bothering with and bigger trailer mounted models are very good but you're into a lot more money. You then have to think about safe storage as they are much sort after.
It also helps if you have a good friend who deals in used Agri/Horti plant that's at all of the sales. Just give him a list of wanted kit and sit back and wait or see what he has in stock when you decide you want to buy something else.

The joy of having all Logic kit is the readily available spares. Something always to be considered with important kit that only gets used when needed the most.

howa243I bought one from ebay last year. Was 100 litre tank with some pipe and tubing. When I put it together I seriously doubted it would work but surprisingly it did. Cost £180 so cheap but I dont think it will last long.
