The question remains are they going to allow hunting or just waste a valuable resource.

By using government shooters.

Lets assume a 5000.00 dollar price tag times 500.

That's $2.500,000 should help the local economy a bit.

Same here in States and Canada
Fish and Game Departments shoot problem bears instead of selling them to willing hunters thus make money for their own departments
Government officials and politicians are stupid all over the world
