Just got back from 3 weeks in Germany and I also got to go hunting for 3 days. Shot a nice 6
point Roe buck on the first evening. Our primary goal was to reduce the number of wild boar in the area but it just did not happen as it got to dark too early. My wife arranged this hunt with a sand box boy friend from 50 years ago. Gerhard has 1500 acres of hunting area on the French border. He had several rifles for me to choose from. I selected a Heym Ruger in 308 Win that had a 3x12x56mm scope with a hexagon barrel and a wonderful set trigger.He also gave me a pair of 8x56 Zeiss binos to use. Nice loaner equipment Got home the first night about 3am ( a lot of guest house time). After that my sister in law gave me a key to the house.
