Yeah, it is absolutely amazing part of the world, some of the most virgin woods I know of

Unfortunately never hunted in that part of the world, but used to spend a month or two in Scandinavia kayaking most summers as a teenager. Will have to go back...

Great pictures, looks like a very interesting and different hunt.

I spent a week canoeing in SW Sweden (Varmland) this August, such a beautiful country!

That is a great set of pics.

Do I remember correctly that you shoot these with a .22 rifle or were you using a shotgun?

Stalking Capercaille sounds like a lot of fun!!

Hunting in this country must be very wonderfull... I love Sweden & Norway, but never was there hunting so far...

D: we carry a drilling : 16/16/ 6.5x55... hard ball for the longer capercaillie shots & a soft in the pocket for a bear encounter Smiler
