tendramsColebrooke Estate - Sika
Has anyone here hunted Colebrooke Estate for Sika stag in N. Ireland? I know Diana books for them but was thinking about booking direct? Any experiences, good or bad?
Best,

Claret_DabblerIt is about 40 miles from here. It should be pretty good, no shortage of deer for sure.
I would also expect it to be pretty expensive.

CohannonColebrooke Sika have been shot on adjacent farmland for many years. The estate perimeter has never been secure and the Sika roam the area at will. Quality varies from very elusive to practically tame. I've seen hinds, in family groups, come to meet a farmer's quad on land where they feel safe. It is rumoured locally that Alan Brooke also has deer leases in Donegal which might prove more interesting than a canned estate hunt. I would be inclined to agree with the previous replies and focus on Wicklow for the best Sika stalking. A PM to Sika98K might bear fruit ...

IanFAgree that Wicklow provides excellent Sika stalking.
Stalked down there with John Fenton and can thoroughly recommend his organization and grounds.
