SIKA98KFirearms storage at/near Heathrow
Someone is coming to visit me from the US for a bit of pigeon shooting this summer.
They plan on visiting in London first for a bit of sightseeing.
Does anyone know of a firm offering a meet and greet at Heathrow and secure storage ?
Obviously have to be an RFD.
Gunrunner has gone into "phased retirement"
Thanks in advance.

Don't know anyone myself but have you tried contacting the London names to see if they can help / recommend?
And I trust that you will post some of the pigeon shooting pics !!!
Cheers

enfieldsparesYes. At Bisley Camp, Bisley, Nr Brookwood, Surey. Also lots of different things to see...the Brookwood Memorial to the Missing is nearby.
My mother's first husband has his name on it.
Two choices G E Fulton or William Evans. Evans also has permises in St James's London. Bot Fulton and Evans are reputable. Futon will probably be cheaper though!
Certainly Evans sells shot gun cartridges and at Bisley Camp there is a clay range but I've np idea aboiut how to book.
I don't know the legalities but if you were in Northern Irelamd, as a sponsor, you guest could apply for a UK Visitor's Permit?
It may be easier to even consider sending the weapon direct to Futon or Evans. Evans are world class in that they will have agents, I am certain, in the USA.
|As will Holland and Holland who have shootibg grounds at Northwood as well as their London flagship store. Again being world class they'll have agents in the USA.

SIKA98K@enfieldspares. Thanks for all the suggestions
The problem arises in that my client doesn't want the grief! He is considering shipping them from the US to S.Ireland.
Being of Scots descent

I am trying to save him a few $$$s.
So I am looking for a meet and greet at LHR,storage and meet and handover on departure again at LHR.
@ Charlie64, still haven't cracked getting pics out of my iPad onto this. I will email you some. Found you some crows.

MARK H. YOUNGHave him contact PDQ LOGISTICS. They will meet your client as he goes through Customs, secure his guns and store them until he needs them. I've used them several times and they do a great job. Shipping guns ahead to Ireland is not an option.

Oh boy,but did you speak the truth ! Had to leave a serious wedge as surety with C&E today.
So there is a lesson to be learned. If you airfreight your gun ahead of you from outside the EU it is liable to duty and vat at point of entry. Plus a day wasted clearing it and getting reamed for customs clearance charges, airline handling fee, secure vault storage......cost more than the bloody airfreight.
This apparently happened to a lot of people traveling to the Creedmor Cup hosted in Ireland last year.
