R93 Accuracy?
R93 Accuracy?
Aleko did you ever shoot that 7.5x55 barrel or that 264 barrel? What about that 8x68 or the 6.5x68?
I went to my local Spanish gunshop Ameria Lobo in Puerto Real, and was dissapointed but slightly encouraged to find that they had shut down and were renovating (doubling in size). They were in the shop, but not taking orders until June 1 (so that means July 1, in Spanish time).
Needless to say the 45 Blaser and 9.3x64 are supposed to be here in July. I also got a off road timber safari contour stock. I did that so I don't have to buy more forends.
Aleko, PM me with what you get for a set of 470 S-2 barrels. I have a trade worked out with a buddy of mine in Casper if WR doesn't sell mine, and he doesn't sell his S-2 Luxus Safari 375.
What 7mm caliber shoots best? What other R93 calibers shoot well?

Heritage Arms7,5x55 shoots so well, very pleased even with Swiss surplus. The .264 shoots the 120BT's well. I have been shooting the .300 WBY a bit and it hovers around 1/2" at 100 yds

I have the following R 93 barrels.
All "sporter" weight.
223, 308, 308 Tracker [19 3/4"], 300 Win Mag, 300 Win Mag with sights and Magna-Port, [from Aleko, thanks], 375 H&H, 375 H&H Tracker, and a 28 ga bbl.
All of these bbls shoot very well.
All the rifle bbls have been shot to 200 yards on paper, some to 300 yards on paper, a couple on steel to 535 yards one on game to 412 yards.
When you buy a barrel for a Blasser R 93 one thing you do not have to worry about is acuracy.
You do not have to worry about the rifle "working" either.

What kind of groups does the 28 ga. bbl shoot?

I found a 30-06 attache for E2700 in Madrid. Damn Blasers making my credit card payment bigger!

Heritage ArmsLast weekend I shot my 7,5 quite a bit with Hornday and Swiss ammunition. Both rounds averaged for 3/4" at 100 yds for 3 sots. My .300 Wby is holding between 1/2" and 3/4" at 100 yds with 165 and 180 ammunition. I own several Blaser barrels and find them all very accurate

I`ve had a .30-06-barrel, and now I have a .308 and a 9,3.
None of these have shot over an inch at 100 metres with Norma Jagdmatch factory ammo. ( If I havent failed myself..)
I would say they are pretty accurate!
Here's a recent target shot relatively fast from the bench of my R93 9.3x62 - 2 mags/ 8 shots:
(Please not that the 1 shot below was a little bit snatched since the guy next to me was shoting immediately before me...)
Best regards

I´ve heard a lot of complaints regarding the R 93.
With my own experiences and others, and after seeing these groups, I wonder: -could all the people who complains actually be gunsmiths, and the R 93 is putting them out of work!?!
It has to be so....

Heritage ArmsI've used a Blaser for years, some people say they are a fragile, unconventional rifle. I have been told they are inaccurate and un safe. These are claims made mostly by people that have never seen or handled a Blaser or so myred in tradition they can't look at innovative products.

3 shots do not make a group, they show a point of aim or impact.
5 shots are a group.

ozhunterMy self and two friend's have used Blaser's R93 extensivly in these caliber's and find them most accurate.222,6.5x57,7x57,7x64,30/06,300we, 9.3x62 and 375 all great.

Monastery-ForesterI don´t like this gun, but I must say, that I never saw one which would`t shoot great and I saw lots ot them....
Every LRS2 I have shot is a 1/4 inch gun. My 30-06 R93 is a inch gun, my 30-06 K95 is the same, my 243 K95 is an 1.5 inch gun, and my 338 is the same.
I think it's all in the barrel. Heavier barrels have been more accurate with me anyway.
I can't wait to try the 45 Blaser, 8x57, and 9.3x62 barrels I am getting when I get back from Africa.
