sakoSauer Barrels
Hi
Was just wondering about barrels for sauer 202 rifles or mostly if barrels on left handed and right handed rifles are the same, are the cutouts for the locking lugs the same on left handed and right handed rifles?
Also are the part of the barrels that go into the action for standard chamberings and magnum chambering of the same diameter or are magnums bigger?
I have been trying to find this out both on the Sauer website and at the local dealership and no luck so far..
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Regards Ben

Claret_DabblerBarrels are the same for left and right handed actions.
However, magnum barrels will not fit in the standard sized action, there is a different/larger action for the magnums.

sakoYeah had a feeling that was the case.
Would love to get a barrel on mine in 257 weatherby but Sauer dont chamber their barrels for that round so i thought about getting a Border barrel made but turns out they dont offer their barrels in magnum chamberings so i guess im out of luck.
Thanks for your reply Brian, good to have it clear atleast.

dutchgusStyria Arms in Austria seems to be more or less specialised in making custom barrels for Sauer 202.
Why not send them a email to ask?
