Bwana_500Where to buy euro made scopes
I thought this might be the best forum for this question. I am looking for Kahles & Swarovski scopes in particular. Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced online retailer that will ship overseas?

shakariYou'll probably get the best result from Google.

dogcatTry Doug at Cameralandny.com. He posts here and is great to deal with. I am not sure if Swarovski scopes can be exported from the US though.

Adam.270Try Gregor McLeod at McLeods of Tain, in Invernesshire, Scotland. His new and used stock is extraordinary and his prices generally beat anyone else for Swaro' and Kahles kit.

and definetly check out the
Z4i scopes, which are not available outside Europe, but which offer a great scope for less Money then the Z6i Edition - and they have an illuminated reticle...

Order through authorised dealers in Singapore or Hong Kong since you live in Australia
No restrictions on sending to Australia
Save yourself a bundle and no European dealers margins
Authorised dealers will supply original factory sealed stock so guys here can't slag it off as being fakes
Being in Australia you know how cheap it is to shop in those places
Basically so much more advance than Europe

scubapro@Londonhunter: so why could Asian delaer sell it that much cheaper? Can they live without earning Money? And why the hell are they "Factory sealed stock" - I have never seen a box coming from Swarovski with a sealing, so... ???
How should this be possible to buy anything specific and original cheaper in Asia then in the Country or Origin??? - this speaks against the law of business...
So I would be carefull as a customer to take such a "cheap offer" - the risk in buying something non-original should be calculated as well...

Steve, I guess we should shut down the forum then since its redundant? I mean every question can be answered by google by that logic.

Knowing the Leupold scope clones already coming out of China for the last few years, I would be very hesitant to buy mail order out of Asia.
I may well pay more out of Europe, than Asia, but I want to have [greater] confidence that I am getting a genuine item. Mind you, without VAT, I will probably come out paying less out of Europe than ordering out of the USA.

DC
I have bought many items out of the USA over the years, and would like to continue to do so. However with the current US State Department view on export permits and the threat of persecution for noncompliance, dealers are running scared and clamping down to ridiculous levels. I recently enquired at one online retailer about a case neck turner – I was advised they would be happy to supply, but I would need a US export permit for them to do so.
My motivation for a Euro source is to avoid the crazy compliance regime that has evolved in the US over the past few years.

Bwana_500Thanks for the suggestions of dealers via the forum and PM. These are exactly the kind of information that I am looking for.
