TophandBan on lead ammunition
BASC Council Minutes 21st Jan 2010
"Council noted that Defra is considering options for convening a high level meeting to consider the issues of lead in ammunition and how they might be addressed. BASC has registered an interest in being involved in the meeting."
Just the start of the things to come, me thinks.
Where the UK leads, Europe is bound to follow.
The RSPB have already waded into the fray with their usual highly selective scientific evidence.
Best lay in a stock pile of your favourite bullets choices, as the ban on lead is on its way.

sorry mate, the swedes have allready battled this and won, danes have had the lead ban in shotgun shells for many years and lived to tell about it.
i am sure that if you all work together without snide remarks about your fellow hunters that you will find a way as well.
best

TophandWe've had the lead ban on wetlands or for wildfowl.Depending on whether your in England Wales, NI or Scotland shooting for a few years to. But no one has yet had to face a ban on lead core bullets yet. Well not in Europe.
