Moosehunting 2003-2004
I add some photos from last two years moosehunting to a site I have.
Its a view of how our area look like, and how it is to be an Norvegian moosehunter.
I hope you find it interesting.

Wow, you took some great pictures thanks!

Was the hunting driven hunting, using the dog? BTW do you use walkie-talkies to co-ordinate which direction the moose is moving?

Looks like a great place to go and spend some time with the guys eating drinking and huntin... Not necessaru=ily in that order!!

What Calibers do you use for the Moose? I should imagine they take some stopping. Do you stalk or drive them to standing guns?

Awesome scenery, thanks for sharing,

We use to drive our moose to place where we have locate some of us hunters.

Many times, them who drive the moose also get a chance to shoot them.

I guess 40 % of our moose get shot by them who drive them, but they have

to know the area very well, so they don't shoot in a dangerous direction.

This year we got a dog with us, and this one we use in string, and owner of dog follow carefull behind him

when he track a moose.

If we should wonded a moose, this dog have also a valid certificate to do this job.

My caliber for moosehunting is same as my nick.........

Fantastic set of photos. What could be better than hard hunting , hard work, good friend food and drink.
Makes me want to leap in the car and go off to my own cabin in Scotland. Roe deer are a bit easier to move though Wink.
Regards

Mark

Hunting is getting as close as you can, shooting is getting as far away as possible.
