Pete EHard Gun cases in the UK
Gents,
I was wondering what hard guncases availible in the UK you gents would recommend for air travel?
I have not seen Tuffpac offered for sale in the UK, although they might be available on the photography market.
So any suggestions to hold one ot two rifles?
Regards,
Pete

If you do a search of the Tuffpak website you will find details of their UK agent in Scotland.
I have one and you are welcome to use it if you have a trip in mind.

How much do they charge for them in U.K?
What is your opinion about it?
Cheers

Fallow BuckHi Pete,
I travelled with a hard case in December. The locks on most cases are not what I'd call substantial, so I used some cable ties through the handles to prove there had been no tampering in transit.
The longer one is good if you want to put a set of stalking sticks in too, and I also had my binoculars in there. I borrowed one from a mate, but it was one of the metal covered cases, which I believe was about 200 notes.
Where you thinking of going to? BTW, you can't travel with the ammo in the same case so you will need a seperate case for ammo, or a lockable suitcase.

I forget what I paid but I think it was US price plus about 20%. Ouch!
But it is without doubt the best guncase I have handled.
I have total confidence in it.

1894Mine's an ICC aluminium which I got from Aftab at RSD. A bit heavy but strong. It's been to Sweden 3 times and kept everything safe despite an obvious hard knock on one journey. I sit on it at the train station.

WachtelI bought a "no-name" alu case from my local shop here in Sweden. They had a special sale of these at a price equal to an ordinary plastic case. I didn't like the plastic ones I checked out, to much "give" in them in my opion.

raamwI just bought a SKB freedom casefrom Cabelas, it will handle a couple of long guns plus other gear and still make the 50 pound limit. Cabela gets $70 but golf places are asking &90 and up. It is well constucted and lockable with rollers. here is the manufacturers site
