9,3x62mooseChamois in Germany?
Hi.
Oh, a good traditional Chamois hunt is a long dream.
But, can it be done in Germany?
The dream is to do it in Germany or....Austria.
Any tip on Germany?

DUKYes, it can be done quite easily. The Bavarian state forest administration offers good opportunites, from very affordable for a yearling chamois to more expensive for the trophy beasts.
You don't need an outfitter but deal directly with the State Forest administrations in the different alpine areas.
I have had several friends from Spain come here to hunt them, they really enjoyed it.
Let me know if you need an adress.

9,3x62mooseInteresting information.
But, I will need a guide?
A adress will be very nice, Thank you so much.
You also hunt them? How did it go with your spanish friends?

DUKHello, yes, you will be guided by a professional hunter from the state forest administration. The only a little more complicated part is to obtain the German hunting license and insurance where I helpüed my spanisch friends. All got their chamois including myself (in a lower price class, haha), it was quite a memorable hunt.
PM me a mail adress if you want to see some pictures and the contact data.
Best regards,

jaegerfrankWhat DUK said. I shot a few in Garmisch- Partenkirchen some years ago, I remember it as a nice and fair priced experience. However, if you would spent more days and experience traditional mountain huts Austria mght be more classy.

Andre MertensJaegerfrank is right but Austria can be quite expensive. A few years ago, I was exceptionally lucky to be invited and offered a class I chamois in Absam, near Innsbruck. On the evening of my 1st day, I shot this 14 year old Kapital buck.
