Re: Bi-Pod for Sauer 202
FB, I would advise you to unscrew the fore end and then center it before retightening (BTW, no muscle needed actually, just snug it up). In the worst case, the wood might have swollen and then it's no bid deal to open it a bit.

There is a bipod that grips the barrel. I can't recall who makes it.

FB,
If you find anything please let me know. I have been looking for a bipod adapter for a sauer 202 for ages and have wondered about trying to adapt a stud to fit into the quick release swivel.

The only sauer of mine that will take a bipod is the 3000!

Also , while I'm on the subject , I have had some trouble with accuacy with this rifle. I foudn that it was due to the fore end touching the barrel on one side because it was tightended too much. Has anyone else experienced any problems of this sort?

YES! I have experienced the same. Really a bad construction. I had to get a new fore end after bigtime accuracy trouble due to I drilled a hole and monted a bipod. Now with the new fore end I do NOT tuch that fore end at all. It is really touchy about tampering. Back off that thing...
