I am thinking specifically of the 185 grain 8mm GROM and using it in a 8x60S at around 2,700fps (or 820m/s in metric) muzzle velocity load.

Ranges from 30 metres out to 150 metres on mainly roe, red and muntjac with maybe one day wild boar.

A guy from my parts was shooting them from 30/06 - clean shoot through was the norm, with little or no blood - unless shoulder bones were hit roes went quite some distance (100m).

P.S. "grom" translates as "thunder" from Serbian to English

No expereince with .323" bullets but rather .308".

We'll find out here shortly as I've just received 200 Privi Partisan .308" 11 gramm (169.4 grs.) Grom bullets. We'll be trying them in .30/06 Sprg., .300 Winchester Magnum, 300 Weatherby Magnum & 300 RUM.

They are advertised as a bonded bullet and I do not know what type of core bonding process they use. We tried some factory ammo in .30/06 Sprg. & 300 Win Mag at the very end of last year's season. The factory ammunition was VERY accurate in the rifles (Steyr, Browning, Blaser & Sauer) we tried them in and the one bullet that connected with a medium-sized porker worked excellently.

Both the factory loads & bullets are relatively inexpensive when compared to other "premium" bonded bullet loads & components.

As components - we'll see; give us some time to work up the loads and give 'em a try .....
