I frequently shoot geese with a rifle, given that they are outside the effective range of a shotgun or when there is no shotgun available like when hunting Reindeer. I however do use a shotgun on birds as a first choice.

I have successfully shot geese with my 308W and 7mmRM. It�s great fun to do.

Norma has a loading called (F�GEL) in 222 rem which is a 50 gr FMJ loaded at 850 M/S with this load you can kill gees witout a lot of meat damage and for roe deer Sake has a BX 50 gr loading which is good on roe deers and norma (r�djur) 62 grain loading at870 M/S is an excellent choice.
