Exporting a Rifle
Has anyone exported a rifle to the US?
What paper work is needed?

TwoZeroI am very interested in this question as well. I've found a manufacturer that makes a rifle with all the features that I want - but there is no US importer.
I the rifle itself would be well within my means, it's just the potential cost of importing seems to be a huge hurdle...

Fallow BuckGuys,
As I understand it the exporter here needs to have certain forms filled in that allow him to export to the US. He then needs the contact in the US that has the import papers that end. When the thing is set up then it should be fairly easy.
Best bet is to talk to Dig or someone that has the set up and get the job done through them for a fee ~(not sure of costs at the moment but I can find out quite easily.
Two Zero, if there is a specific gun that you wanted let me kow and I';ll see what sort of price we can get it for and get it sent to you. Drop me a PM and I'll look into it.
Rgds,
Kiri

enfieldsparesThere is, maybe, another solution.
That is to consider using Holland and Holland? Certainly I used them about five years ago to take both a 22 BSA Martini and my later father's 12 bore to Paris for me.
And about three years ago to bring them back. They had a Paris branch then on Avenue Victor Hugo but that has now closed. They still have a New York branch.
It won't perhaps be cheap but it will probably only involve you transferring the rifle to them in London or Northolt.

Ah! Well it cost me all of £60 in fact to get them to Paris. But that was five years ago.
