Arild,

The problem is that if you start associating with the likes of Mr "F" Santa will take you off his list for ever!! Wink

Not to say that it won't be worth it!!

Hopefully we'll be able to hook up and have a beer together if you make it over.

Don't know about Santa yet, but the Birthday Fairy recently sent me an envelope containing a gift token for the local shooting and outdoor dealer. That was exactly what I wished for Smiler

A trip to Czech Rep leaving 26/12/06.

And a new tent.

Just because you are paranoid, doesn't mean they are not out to get you....

Well I have a stainless steel model 1999Montana Arms in 300wsm that is being built by Serengeti Rifles. I won this rifle last Christmas in a raffle and they have been building it for the last 7 months. It has a best grade walnut laminated stock, Talley rings and bases, ebony forend tip. All metal is Serecote and a few other things. Should arrive next week in time for Christmas. Now I just need a new scope. Thinking about a Zeiss Conquest 3x9x40.

A new pipe for the remmy Smiler...and a lot more time to get out and play with it!!!!
Though l'd settle for the company of a few good pals and a bottle or two of tartan tap water to share it with, would be a pleasant distraction.

Mrs. Santa Claus in this family isn't fmailiar with my tastes, desires and "needs" to make a competent decision; so instead of telling her outright (which sorta spoils the "surpise") or attempting leaving countless clues laying about, I simply ask for Gift Certificates - they work every time!

Cheers,

Gerry,

That's the sensible thing to do, we always have cash for Christmas and birthdays, that way you always get what you want. There are always smaller tree gifts on the go just to make it feel like Christmas with a surprise gift or two on Christmas day, but, the main event is always cash. It may seem a bit cold and calculating but this way neither of us have got it wrong in years, and that can't be bad.

Ho Ho Ho

2 years ago Mrs Santa offered to buy the rifle I wanted (505) by Churchill, but I did put the mockers on it by saying,"I`d run up to the Diana stand and book the Ele hunt !!"

This year santa is bringing me one of the Jahti Jakt outdoor clobber suits, and don't tell my beautiful wife but he's just brought me a .375 Chapuis Brousse double (well it might scare the cat if it was left under the tree). Just need the S&B scopes to go on top.

FB,

No its the Krieghoff K20, in plantation game, with the new high grade game stock.

Its an absolute joy to shoot. I got it to try to make game that bit more challenging, and enjoyable and it has done that admirably.

The other good thing with the krieghoff system, is the ability to put 410 and 28 bore 32" barrels on it as well.

I cant recommend it highly enough, you are welcome to try her...

Well got off the airplane after 30 hours of travelling and got my daughter up to Wyoming to see the folks. So that in it'self is enough.

But then sun shined on a boars ass and I found a Browning BCPR in 45-70 that old Browning quit making about 10 years ago. I traded a Blaser 300 Win mag LRS2 barrel and a Ruger #1 in 405 for the beauty.

Dad took me and the brother in law pheasant and chukar hunting on his dollar and I got 2 pheasants and a chukar. Brother in law didn't pull the trigger for some reason.

I also bought a little electronic varmint caller and a mouse squeeker so we are going to try for coyotes tommorow.

take care and Merry Christmas

Oh, and the best present of all I got to spend 8 hours by myself working on my guns that I haven't seen since I moved to Italy 14 months ago.

Kind of sucks to be someplace where its illegal to play with your toys.

I've got Sauer 90 luxus in 9.3x64 cal few weeks before, sort of bit early present.
And I am getting Tanita scale to control my fitness level, so I can read my body fat, water, muscle percentage and fitness age.
I've lost 30lbs in about 3 months changing the diet and I love it, especially when I hunt for moose, where lots of walking is required.

Greetings,

Peter

SWS,

A couple of years ago I thought I wanted to make game shooting more challenging as I was hitting most of what I shot at. Now I want to make it easier bbut I don't think a 10bore on the partridges will be particularly wel recieved!! Wink

Sounds like a nice peice of kit. How has it altered your cartridge ratio? When My dad whet to a 20bore his ratio improved because he found the gun easier to move, (a touch or arthritis in the hands) but me it halved....

I'd love to try it out soe time, but that would mean I would have to force myself to go shooting one day.... Ho Hum!!

It's all good fun though.
