Roadtrip Sweden - Slovenia/Croatia this summer
Hi,
Will be driving from Sweden to Croatia in July and would appreciate any tips of hunting related places/shops/museums worth seeing! Non hunting stuff is of course also interesting, restaurants, hotels etc
We will be coming in to Croatia via Italy and Slovenia, and then in to the croatian province of Istria.

mouse93While Ferlach would be a bit off the track, it is sure worth visit:
Museum of rifle making and huntingIf you have any interest in horses then you should see:
LipicaProbably you will be traveling near coast so you will be passing Salina:
SalinaThere is plenty more...are you going on the seaside vacation?
Thanks for all the replies so far, great stuff, will definietly be going to the museum in Ferlach.
Mouse: Thanks for the links, as a matter of fact both me and my girlfriend are interested in horses so a trip to Lipica would be great. It is a seaside vacation but we want to make the most of the trip not just lying and staring at the sun!
I am thinking of driving home via Ljubjana - Maribor - Graz -Vienna and through the czech replubic back into Germany.
Any hunting/gunshops in Ljubjana?
Best Regards Karl

mouse93A couple of gunshops in Ljubljana but just small ones - maybe worth to visit is Fanzoj's:
http://www.fanzoj.si/en/index_en.htmlHowever nothing more than you will be able to see in Ferlach, where you can also visit most of the shops and workshops. Anyway - I will be spending a couple of July weekends in Istria as well, so if you find yourself with too much time on your hands - shoot me a PM.

londonhunterI fullly agree Fanzoj's place is great for a chat but nothing really spectacular to purhcase.
I would detour to ferlach but make sure you discuss you trip with specific gunsmith before your arrival. Then they can get really nice things out for you. Otherwise you will be window shopping.
Must try ALL the strudel studios in Ferlach though .............
