Didn't think Pete approved of Recknagel rings.
Looks like a very functional piece. Your health to enjoy.
Just because you are paranoid, doesn't mean they are not out to get you....

londonhunterHi I also have a rifle coming soon from Pete. However it has been delayed because he cannot get an appointment to get it proofed. It is a Howa 9.3 RSM with a KNoxx recoil reducing stock. Have you shot any of his creations before and how long did you have to wait? I understand he is going full time from 27/10/2007 thanks Londonhunter

BoghossianLooks good, what will it weigh?
Is this going to be your main stalking rifle, or will you save it for 'special applications'?
Cheers

The plan is for the 260 to be the main "kill everything/stalking rifle to be shot daily"

Dont know what weight it has turned out, yet.
T260, untill my rifle is in my hands, i'm first in the que!!!

Londonhunter, My friend already has a 260 Roedale, i've shot his and been impressed!!!(see above 3-shot group in previous post in this thread)

Tikka260James
I was hoping against hope that you had yours by now, as that would reduce the length of the queue in front of me.

James JohnstonRoedale rifle has been here a week now, kill total so far is,
5 roe deer
6 crow's
2 foxes
lost count of dead paper......
only 1 photo,
I've heard that some other "daily sport" forum has a post up about how my Roedale rifle dosent shoot ;D ;D
I've also been told "where's the pic's to prove it???"
Well I borrowed my wife's digital camera, collected lastnight's two foxes on the quad, and took a photo of them just to show that they are real!!!

;D

Two vixen's in the same field, came running to "pup cries" on the Jonny Stewart call.First shot at 120 yards. left the call running and shot the other at 100 yards. Think the A-Tec work's as well

BoghossianAwesome!
Good to see that such a fine tool is being put to work and not left sitting in the safe!
Hope it accounts for a few more miscellaneous kills before the end of winter.

James, congrats on the new toy, it looks like you are putting it to great use!
Educate me, though. What is the attraction of a 2-stage trigger, or is that simply a part of the "tactical" set-up?? A "de rigueur" for this type of rifle??
What pull weight has the trigger been set up for?? I take it shooting a 2 stage trigger is a matter of habit - take up first stage, then concentrate on final pull??
The trigger on this latest picture you posted looks different from that pictured initially, (colour of shoe, for one thing). Is this latest the "CG" trigger you originally specified?? The trigger looks like it can be adjusted for LOP (much like an Anschutz target trigger), is that a correct observation??

James JohnstonHi Mike,
The trigger is set at 2Ilb, the attraction is as you have said, "take up first stage, then concentrate on final pull" lop is adjustable, the original picture is of the original tikka trigger, any Anschutz target trigger can be fitted, two of the people who have shot the rifle said before pulling the trigger, "What's the attraction of this two stage trigger" after fireing they both said, "I want one too!!!"
15 November 2007, 02:59
Claret_DabblerMy buddy bought a new Ruger .222rem earlier this year. He paid extra for a two stage trigger.
Once you get your head round it they are excellent. Just don't try and take up the slack and fire the shot with a single stroke.
Just because you are paranoid, doesn't mean they are not out to get you....

londonhunterI am totoally envious of your picture. Pete is slow but good.
spoke to him this morning and we are discussing our next project. I would love 02 more creations from him
one ultra velocity, accuracy and portable for varminting --- 22 BR
one ultra accruacy potable but sleath ---
30 BR ? ATEC built into a sleeved barrel and possibility for subsonics
any input or suggestions?
londonhunter thanks
my 9.3 WSM is due in four weeks and I will pick it up from Pete in Germany he will develop load and zero for me for a hunt during same week? can't wait............apparent he has a range on his premesis now

mhoJames and Brian, thanks for the trigger information. I don't have much experience with 2-stage triggers, but I guess it is never too late to learn in life...
