BlankMay in the Czech Rep-Any hunting or shooting then?
My god-daughter is getting married in Prague in May, and there is no doubt that we will be there for it. Wondering if there are any hunting or shooting seasons or activities then? What shooting sports related sightseeing is there then?
Maybe it will have to be a week long stopover on the way to Africa instead?

May is not good for hunting here. From the 16th, there is the season for roe deer. Wild boars are hunted here all year, but in May, there is a lot of plants in the fields and it is not good time to hunt it.
If interested, send me PM.

Thanks for the quick reply. We do not have a final date yet, so still in the planning stages. I thought it might not be a good time, as it is still in the Northern hemisphere, kinda like our seasons here.
If I have to, we can do a vacation in London and Paris on our way to the wedding. That would probably earn me enough brownie points with the wife to book a safari at Reno without getting into too much trouble.

May try you again, once we know a schedule.

BoghossianIf you come through London, you could hunt roe bucks at any point in May.

GerryBlank,
If you'd care to PM me; I've got a fellow who can book you both Roe Buck & Wild Boar after 16 May (Jiri's spot-on concerning the vegitation and Pigger success during May timeframe) at VERY reasonable rates.

BlankThanks guys. Sounds very interesting. Now, if we could just get the female part of this equation to make up her mind!

CaracalI hunted czech in may a few years ago. The early spring is not the best time to hunt but you still have a very good chance on roebuck. I'm sure you gonna enjoy that

BlankWe finally have a decision and a date! Took a while, but reservations are made and money paid, so I think we're safe to plan now. It will be
December 30th for the wedding, so the question is what is best to do for a week before or after the ceremony???????
