August in Germany?
What can I expect for the first week in August near Frankfurt for weather?
I am still in Sicily and fighting the swarms of gnats full time. Hopefully such heavy precautionary measures won't be required in Germany.
Planning on jeans and t-shirt weather with a fleece and a oil-skin coat if it rains.
Anyone got any other advice?

Normally pretty hot and muggy. Around 30-35 degrees C (or more) - although I know, to a lot of people this is not very hot. I guess you'll have to decide on your own. First week of August is about the hottest time of the year in Central Europe.
Naturally, you could be out of luck and run into a weather system with rain and wind, thunderstorms are also a definite possibility. Your suggested clothing sounds just about right - perhaps with the addition of a pair of shorts and a swimsuit...

P.S. Come to think of it, if you are coming from Sicily (and Spain before that), FF is probably not going to feel very hot for you...
You can expect the roe deer rut, for some the best time of the year...
Mike, I hope it's whatever the roe bucks want it to be!
DUK, your onto it, I hope your right!
