Lynn DReading Suggestions
Gentlemen,
I am a stalking enthusiast, and am currently reading-studying UK Deer, all six species. Although I do see myself beginning to take a deeper interest in the study of Roe Deer in particular.
I was hoping that you gentlemen could take a moment or two and suggest some books that might help me in my study of UK deer and stalking. Are there any books you feel are a must read ?
I will be making several trips to the UK over the next few months and I am hoping to be able to visit and make some purchases from bookstores while there. Are there any suggestions as to where to acquire the books you suggest, or any specialty shops I should visit ?
Thank you in advance for all your help,
Lynn D

Claret_DabblerCheck into books by Richard Prior. He is the leading UK authority on Roe Deer. Should get some of his stuff via Amazon UK.
Also look up Swanhill Press on the web. They do all sorts of UK fieldsports books.

NitroXWhiteheads - Encyclopaedia of Deer Species is a comprehensive book on deer right around the world. A must have in a deer hunters library.

Pete EI agree Whiteheads Encyclopaedia of Deer Species is an excellent resource about all manner of things concerned with deer, but i am pretty sure its out of print now...
However, I believe you can still get it on CD from the British Deer Society (www.bds.org.uk)
as as other books/CD's on the subject..

Peter

Just some web sites I've stumbled across in the past. I don't know if they will be useful to you or not. Still, it might be worth taking a look.
