Plans?
Hey guys, what are your plans for the season?

What species/what methods & how many days will you be out?

I am moving down to London and will be living at my desk reading about hunting online and pretending to be an expert...

Just kidding, I am hoping to go to the Czech republic for a red stag during the roar, Ireland for sika and fallow culling, as well as Croatia in January for 5 days of driven boar.

Thursday I will leave to North-East Poland for a 5 days red stag hunt in the Mazurian lake district; I will post some photos in 2 weeks; otherwise I will spend the hunting season with driven hunts of boars, deers and (seldom) chamois.

Sounds good guys, great plans to keep you going!

Don't know about you but I use my next hunting trip/outing as a motivational factor whenever times get tough. It really helps.

Cheers

Fallow Buck
I'm looking at quite a busy season as of 4-5 weeks from now. I'll be shooting pheasants/partridge & duck every weekend from october to the end of Jan. Witha few other driven & roungh days I've managed to end up with about 22 days this year!! dancing

There are a couple of days decoying pigepons with IanF and Artemis, and some other mates. Then there are 3 Evening flights planned to get under the geese. I've got a trip to Irelenad at Xmas time planned for some snipe/woodcock action and then I need to roll over a few fallow...
Rounded off nicely witht he AR weekend in March and a trip to Africa I hope next May. But that is a long way away!!

Either way I'm looking forward to getting some (small..) credit for Fern picking up Ian's runners..(Not his shoes!!) and getting to go out and do what I love doing with some good freinds and family. I have dad and my brother over at Xmas/new year so it will be a busy time with a gun and a knife & fork!!

Don't tell my wife I said this but I think I may have overdone it a bit this time round!!

Plans? Smiler I am up to it - season is in full swing - that means 2-3 trackings/week, stags are starting to roar dancing...this year we (our concession) still have 6 stags + 20 hinds/calves, + 60 roe does/calves (still 2 roe bucks left) + 8 chamois + x pigs to take...later on (October - December) will help friends with culls on their concessions...if there will be a good company around I might hit a driven boar weekend in Croatia...

Just booked 4 days Sika Stag stalking in the Borders.

It is something I have wanted to do for a number of years and I haven't even seen a Sika in the wild at all. I am immensely looking forward to it. Even if I get to see one I would be over the moon.

I am booked from the 2nd to 5th Oct inclusive so we will see what is occurring in that part of the country.

If any action I will post of course.

Sounds good Jon, they are sneaky little buggers for sure. Hope you whack a good one, the stags will be whistling nicely.
