quickdrawQuestion on British Product
I know this may not be the exact correct forum, but I was hoping some UK members might help me out. I was cleaning out some today and ran across a couple of issues of The Field from 2000, which I guess was the last time I was in the UK. I noticed lots of adds for cargo area organizes / boxes / vaults similar to what the US maker Truckvault makes. (www.truckvault.com) There was one in particular called a Country Cabinet that looked pretty interesting. I tried the website listed, but it was down.
I'm interested in looking at all the designs I can find and maybe making my own. I'd appreciate any links, especially for the "Country Cabinet."
Many thanks,
QD

quickdrawNo, it was a gun vault for your SUV. It was basically a box that fits in your cargo area with drawers that slide out. The remarkable thing about this one is that it had 3 drawers: a skinny drawer for ammo, a large drawer with dividers for guns and clothes, and a third drawer with bar equipment!
US makers are:

Thanks for sending the link. Those are nice gun cabinets.
Best,

Claret_DabblerQD, I know what you are talking about, don't seem to have a copy of The Field to hand.
I think you can actually buy a limited edition Range Rover with said cabinets prefitted. Very expensive way to get a gunsafe into a 4x4.

Isn't that the Holland & Holland Ltd Ed?
There was also a Toyota Land Cruiser with the gun vault installed at the Rambouillet show. One drawer for two breakdown guns or rifles, one drawer for the bar, one drawer for accessories, ammo, etc. However makes these can do it for vehicles other than Range Rovers. I haven't been able to find out who makes them either.
