Red Stags in the West of Scotland
I have relatives in Ayr (alas, not one is a deer stalker) and I want to combine a family visit with some red stag stalking.

I would appreciate any outfitter recommendations that any AR members familiar with red stag stalking in the west of Scotland might be able to provide.

You can't go wrong with http://www.diana.dk, they have many outfitters in Scotland.

there are not many areas around Ayr that have red stag stalking. The closest one that I know of is Forest Estate at Dalry in Dumfries & Galloway which is only about 45mins from Ayr.
Late Sept/Oct are the best months, booking is advisable..
