Fallow BuckBurner Needed
Hi all
I'm looking for some kind of wood burner to put into the shoot room to provide some warmth.
Basicaly the problem I have is that there are straw stores outside and I don't want to run the risk of a spark coming out of the Flue and hey presto we have a fireworks party..
Do any of these opt bellies stoves operate without a flue?

Pete EFB,
I'd use a calor stove..Not so romantic, but a lot safer.
If you use a wood burner, you run the risk of being blamed for any fire, regardless of whether your at fault or not...
Also, I'd doubt the farm insurance would be happy about a wood burner there either..
Regards,
Pete

IanFSecond the suggestion of a Calor stove - instant heat on demand - no cleaning.......... and damn! the shoot lunch would be so much better with a warm room to head for!
Having said all of the above - it is possible to put mesh baffles in a flue to avoid stray sparks exiting a log burner flue. 'Spark arrestors' they are known as, and make the wood burner a viable option.

Fallow BuckI thought about one of those patio heater things as an option or one of those electric halogen lights, but then I have to fiddle with the electrics. sparks more likely that way than if I lit a fire in the hay barn!!
