Sorry about the lost bags Jerry but I must admit I am still jealous, bags or no! Great excuse to go buy a bunch of "proper shooting attire"!

Despite my problems, our group of 4 is doing well. In 1 1/2days we have 2 nice red stags and a pig. I got lucky this evening and shot a 8x7 stag( approx 8 1/2 to 9 kilos). This area is crawling with large red deer. Tomorrow ( which comes in 3 1/2 hours with a wake up call) is dedicated to roe deer( which are everywhere). Slam dunk there I think. I will probably pass on wild pig in the interest of fiscal restraint. My Danish friend is both an SCI and Roland ward measurer and figures the stag is 350 plus. Not bad for a free range deer. And we have all seen much bigger ones, if your budget can stand it.

Congratulations and well done. I leave Saturday for a week touring London and the Cotswolds with my wife, then we're headed up to Scotland for me to stalk stags and maybe a roebuck with Fallow Buck. My first European hunt also. Poland is about to tip into my bucket list.

Please post pictures when you can.

1 of the members of our group is from Scotland and does a lot of red deer culling( several hundred per year. He is QUITE impressed with the red stag here. Two other of the guys in our party put 2 more nice stays on the ground today. b
