loads for 22/250
I want to try 60 grs. bullets in my 22/250 rifle and I was wonering if you guys could give me any ideas.
Dear GARP
Sorry, I have never used them. But,I have used 63g Sierra's which grouped in the .3's using 35.3 Vit N140.
I only used them on Roe Deer and they performed very well.
Cheers Rob T.

plainsdrifterH4350 worked quite well for me and IMR4320 produced half inch groups with 60gr.Partions in my RemingtonVS.Dont recall the exact grain data but was well satisfied with performance.

prof242Just got back from the range. I was trying out some loads for the 60gr Hornady HPs I bought from Lock, Stock, & Barrel's blem sale. Best load was 38gr of H-380, ww primers, bullet seated out to just short of rifling. You may want to start at 36gr and work up. Hope this helps.

McCluraI'm shooting Sierra and Hornady 60grn JHP's from my new Wilson barrel in 1-9 twist. It is shooting better than ever with 37grns of H380, Fed 210 primers. I tried IMR4895 and got just about the same groups, all under an inch but the 4895 would leave more powder in the barrel it seemed and every once in a while I would get one about an inch outside the normal groups. Might have been me but it didn't happen with the H380.
I was told that the standard 1-12 twist wouldn't stabilize the 60grn and heavier so that is why I got the 1-9 twist cause I wanted to shoot 60 and 70 grn bullets. Good luck with yours.
