19 Calhoon Cooper?
What do you think of this 19-223 Calhoon cartridge and the Cooper rifle?

Was thinking it was pretty cool, but can't see a whole hell of a lot of advantage over the 204 Ruger or 20 BR or 20 Tact.

The 19-223 Calhoon is a good caliber but it has a Very Limited supply of bullets. That's my 2 cents worth.

I have considered the 19 Calhoon for quite a while...Bullets are from Calhoon as the only source, but his prices are very reasonable and if they are as accurate as his 22 caliber stuff, I'd say they are a winner...

Very explosive on Sage Rats and Prairie Dogs..

Dakota arms now offer 20 Tac Lapua brass...

.54 per 100

And with the availability of 20 cal bullets, I would see no reason to go with the 19 cal!

Why not just go .20 tac in the firts place, ticks all the same boxes and plentiful choice of bullets.

The .19 Calhoon probably is impractical, but I can tell you that Calhoon himself is a great guy, ton of fun to be around and if I was a handloader and had time on my hands I'd do it just for the fun of it and to support him (actually his wife, who's way cooler than James!). In the mean time I'm an elcheapo .223 shooter.

You should think about doing this: http://www.6mmbr.com/gunweek061.html

Cheap 223 brass, and cheap bullets. Ballistics far outperfom the 223!!

Hmmm, 20 Tac from Lapua huh? That sounds good, I have a 6mm BR R93 Match, would be nice to have a 6mm BR Cooper and a 20 Tac cooper.
