The Best range finder
I wish to buy a rangefinder and would like input on which is the best.
Give me your opinion on which is the better rangefinder and why you think so.

Right now I planning on buying a Bushnell waterproof.

Thanks

I really like the Leica range-finders. The readouts on the screen are in red which helps in low-light situations. Much better than Bushnells black readout

At the moment: Leica 1200. Leicas are supposed to have much better focus for their lasers. Makes it less likely that you get an inadvertent reading from something between you and your intended target. Get the 1200 if you can afford it, it will improve your chances of getting a solid reading on targets hard to laser - depends on angle, surface etc etc. Even though a unit is labelled "800" or "1200", that does not mean you can always measure distances this large, but your chances increase with a better device.

From Denamrk you probably will be able to read Norwegian. I'm currently testing 10 different rangefinders including Three Bushnells,4 Newcon and both Leica's. I have had to many bad experiances with the quality of the Nikon's to include them in the test.

chech out www.skytesport.no. And you will find the test there by Oct 20th

Thanks everybody.
The Leica winns on performance, I have seen one and tried one myself, it seemed quite big and not very handy to carry around though. Am i right or have they improved their product concerning this?

The link www.skytesport.no is not available (yet)

The Leica's LRF's (not Geovid) are quite portable, and fit perfectly into a loose fitting BDU side pocket.
