Savage99I would not buy a Browning because of where they are made. I have other good reasons also. Because of this I don't have the information as to what the Browings are like size and weight wise.
The M 70 Classic is supposed to have a light 22" barreled model that goes 6 lbs. I read last that the twist was to be 1-10. I don't think the final dimensions of the cartridge are finished and the release date may be later this year.
I was quite excited about getting one but now that the Montana M 1999'd are available I am all wrapped up in them at the moment.

<QUARTERBORE>Take a hard look at the new Varmint Stalker from Browning. I think you will like it. It will be my next toy ( just bought a NO.1 so I have to wait a little while, Keep the wife from finding out ! ) Anyway it should be a GREAT rifle for the WSSM
