308SakoOn my 2 AR flattops I use the B Square/Colt as came with the CR 6724, and the Leupold QRW rings in High 30mm. I had to use a riser block from GG & G to get a comfortable cheek weld with the Leupolds and a large bell. The B Square mount is high enough by itself. The height factor is more determined by the centerline of the scope and head position than actual clearance issues.

pdhntr1Like 308 Sako says, you will need a riser block under the rings to get the scope up where you need it.

What kind of sights do you have on your AR? I've got folding front and rear sights, so I bought a removable mount/riser block from Brownell's. You can then attach your scope rings to the riser block. If you want to go back to using your iron sights, it is as easy as turning two knobs.
