'Yotes are about two notches lower than feral cats IMO, so Joe get your .22 mag and have fun. Somebody else the 40 gr. HP's work and I agree, head or chest, done deal. I don't care much for your choices for rifles though. My favorite .22 mag is the Deluxe version of the Winchester 9422M. Light, handy, and mine held about 1-2" groups at 100 yards with a scope. Winchester HP or solids, didn't matter, and that was far more accuracy than required out to 150 yards or so. Hogs, bobcats, 'yotes, wild dogs, and yes, feral cats, they all went tits up for that combination. Have no freakin' idea why it got sold.

All the rest of this stuff will work too, but it's your money, your hunt.

Dan,

I have shot numerous fox with the .22 Mag in the 40 gr. pill; Lots of ground hogs too, but I have not shot anything larger than a few groundhogs with the Remington Premier (ballistic tips), which are 35 grs. It made a bloody mess of the groundhogs. Accuracy is exceptional, but is it enough for a coyote....really?

I own several 22 mags. A Ruger 77 heavy barrel, a Savage 93 heavy barrel, a Winchester 94/22 mag and a CZ American. I would recommend the CZ for smaller Varmints and a 223 for the cyotes. The Savage is junk btw.

I think the premiers would expand to fast for good Yote killin, they would probably die from a good hit but it could take awile if you just caused a huge flesh wound,,the Win hollow point will go through a Yote shoulder and still take care of the inside, have done it a couple of times.

My mod 93 heavy barrel will put two premiers in the same hole at 100 on a good day and still be sub moa on a bad day the win HPs are 1-1.5 moa all days.

I'll give ya $50 for your junk one
