dgr416Any body got a new Mini 14 target yet its hot!!!
I just saw a Ruger Mini 14 target in the gun store.I was about to buy the Ruger model 77 stainless light weight in 204 ruger when this thing took to my eyes. Its about the most awesome looking semiauto I have ever seen.I have seen no shooting reports on them.I like the 204 light weight stainless model 77 but I dont know if it will kill a wolf or not.The mini 14 target rifle would be awesome on wolves and coyotes.

pdhntr1I can't tell you I have experience killing wolves, but I can tell you a 204 would not be my first choice. And I have one BTW.

30378The one I held was just too heavy. The mini has always been a light weight fun gun. Very reliable. The extra weight and bulk just does not appeal to me in a mini. It will never be a target rifle. Trying to make a silk purse out of a sows ear.

K20350I read an article in Predetor magazine a few years ago about the Alaskan DNR thinning wolves out from helicopters with AR-15's. It was a while ago and I cant remember the details.

dgr416I think my 264 win mag is the right wolf gun if I can get the right bullet for it.It affords alot more range and killing power.I just like the look and feel of that new mini 14.Its a smooth looking rifle.
