Pdhntr-- I make several trips down to the Poker Jim Oilfield area each summer and it's somewhere around 70 to 75 miles from my home. I don't get down there much for coyote calling, but I sure like to get down there for prairie dogs. There's some beautiful country down there!

Great group and beautiful rifle. My 223 Rem VLS likes IMR4198 and a 40gr V-Max. It's completely stock, but I floated the barrel and lightened the trigger. Groups aren't as great as yours, but it will consistently turn in high 2's and 3's. I may have to try the Sierra's now. I think 4198 is a great powder when shooting the lite bullets in this caliber. Really drives 'em fast too.

Sure nice to know somebody's still keeping that bullet alive. I used to use it a lot out of the bigger case capacity .22's on coyotes-- always shot good as i remember. Actually i'm surprised it's still around since Sierra came out with the BK in the same weight. Just checked Midway's price on the 2-- the HP beats the BK by more than $4/100--- WOW. Great choice. By the way-- 1 BEAUTIFUL rig u gots there-- maybe too pretty to take hunting.?

Great shooting from a fine looking firearm. My comment is wow, what a brutal looking bench. One slip and that's gonna leave a mark. A rubber mat over the top and some split rubber hose for the edge would make it safer for fine stocks.
