jethroHarris bipod knockoffs
Since Harris' patent expired on their bipods, I remember seeing a few other manufacturers building that style of bipod for allot less money. However, I can't remember their names. Do any of you know who else is making the Harris style swivel bipods these days?

SkinnerOuters is making them and they're almost identical to a Harris, I bought a long one for $29.95.

mt AlHarris has known about their patent expiring and the need to become more competative for years.
I'll buy American whenever I can, but my beef is that (taking a cursory look at the Harris) you can see where they could do some very simple redesign, keep the quality at or above the current level, and become competative. I just hope they aren't sticking their heads in the sand, too many manufacturers are these days and there is no need. If Harris isn't implementing DFM (design for manufacturing), lean, proper product costing, etc., etc., they'll be gone or severely downsized in a few years.
I don't own a bipod, but when I did it was a Harris (cross sticks work better IMHO).
