StonecreekPrairie dog pup timing?
When does the new year's crop of prairie dog pups emerge from the dens? I'm sure it varies with latitude, but I'm interested in the Texas Panhandle.

graybirdThey're starting to come out now here in Colorado. I saw some last week north of Denver. I've got some guys that come out from the East Coast every year and we time the week of Memorial Day. We never have a shortage of pups running around during that week.

skb2706Shot up a bunch of pds this last week. A good share of those were very little pups. This was in KS.

MickinColoThey’re not out of the holes here yet, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see them tomorrow.
They had a good year last year. I have 40 +- adults, god knows how many pups.

Slowpoke SlimThey're probably up here already in N. AZ, but the state doesn't "turn on" the shooting until June 1. So I haven't been up there to see them.

Luis L.I really wish you didn't post this thread. I was already getting way worked up because I'm heading up to South Dakota to help clear some ranches and get a family member's AR working correctly over Memorial Day weekend. Now, these boys have got me feeling like I'm already missing out!
