Just remember, the new triggers are only available on varmint, long-range, and LE rifles. It is not on the standard hunting guns.

I too have been waiting for the new trigger to come out. As the above posts said it is now available on select guns. BUT it gets better....the single shot configuration is back! Check it out at www.savagearms.com/centerfire/varmint/12bvss.htm

Can someone point me to a picture of the Single Shot Savage? Can't find it on the site.

I think I'm starting to drool. That would be a perfect lefty rifle. I know they make the bolt actions in lefty too but if this single action looks i'll go for that.

Is it in the same style as the Ruger #1?

I'm not a Savage nut but found this on their website.

It's about their new adjustable trigger and it really looks nice!

Sorry to be buggin you again, but the Savage site does not show a picture of the Single Shot rifle. If anyone knows of another site that does, please let me know...

Second question, can anyone tell me more about the nature of this single action? Savage doesn't say much about it, and without a pic it's hard to know. I can only assume it's similar to the Ruger #1, but that's because of my limited experience.

Thanks in advance.

Spark-
Its the same as the BVSS model, theres no visual difference. Just has no magazine.

Scott is right. It is the standard action without the magazine cut-out in the bottom. They are much easier to bed well. HTH, Dutch.

Thanks for the clarification. I'll be going for a Synthetic model with magazine then. If the Single still has a bolt I may as well have a few extra rounds lined up.

I can't wait to get this thing but it'll be a while. Maybe someone at the range will have one for me to try.

I checked with Williams Shooters Supply of Quincy IL yesterday about the 12BVSS-S. They said it would probably be 30 days before they were able to get one. Apparently Savage's production line is not quite up to speed with their advertising department. I think it will be worth the wait. Meanwhile....I"m gathering up stuff to sell off to finance this next project.
