Whats the Differance between Crows and Ravins?
We are starting to get a lot of these type of large birds here. They have a Black bill on them and i don't knoe what they are...
This is in Northern Utah...

The problem with America is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?

In Colorado we have both

The Raven is much bigger and has a curved beak.

Ravens are larger than crows. Here's a link that does a pretty good job of describing each and the differences.

Crow or Raven?

On a humorous note, I ran into a New Mexico Game Warden years back while calling coyotes and asked him how to tell if it was a raven or a crow since ravens are protected and you can't shoot them. He replied: "If it is in the air it is a raven, if it is dead on the ground it is a crow."

ravens usually in pairs/crows in flocks or the term for a flock of crows is a "murder"

And a flock of ravens is called a "doom".

Ravens are protected protected species, I'm pretty sure. Crows have seasons.

Quick way to remember is that Raven is a bigger word than crow and ravens are larger than crows.

Ravens have ROUND edge to tail (there is that R thing again), Crows tail feathers appear straight on the back edge.

Crows "Caw" (that C thing now). Ravens have a raspy croaking type sound.

Some ravens are half white. Ravens are the worlds most intelligent bird . They are found all over the world . In moszt ways I dispise them but they are smart

If the bird says "Nevermore", it's a Raven.

In Baltimore they have number on their shirt but it is still easy to confuse em as they were 12-4 this year which is something to crow about. As a Cowboys fan it's a whole bunch to crow about.
