A good place to start is with the Game and Fish Department in the state he wants to shoot. They will have a list of the licensed guides.

Get on the internet. There is a website that has a list of Wyoming and South Dakota guides. If I can find it again I'll get the info to you. Just do some looking. Good luck.

Never approach a bull from the front, a horse from the rear or a fool from any direction.

In June of '06 I loaded up for prairie dogs and headed to North Dakota. When I arrived, I discovered that you need a hunter's safety card to purchase a license, which I forgot to bring with me.
If you don't have one, you can hunt on an Indian reservation with a guide from the tribe. I drove down to Fort Yates on the Standing Rock reservation and stayed at the casino. I then called the tribe and found a couple guides. Both were very friendly. When the first guy didn't show up to take me out, I called the other one. He and his son took me to 3 different ranches and I had some fantastic shooting with no other shooters (or people) in sight. Everyone I dealt with from that tribe was gracious and very helpful.
I've also used Gene DeLong at B&D Guide Service in Mission, SD and Sy Gilliland with S-N-S in Casper, WY. Both were great.
