14-221 Walker
In the April 2006 The Varmint Hunter, there is an article on the 14-221 Walker.

Includes loading data, sources, and varmint hunting information.

Includes one reference to deer hunting with the Walker.

Was that u Rare Bear? I read it too-- good article. U ever talk to Blaine Eddy out of UT?? If u haven't already take a look at his Plate system for necking cases down-- TEEERRIFICO! He uses his 14-221 on coyotes. He had a good writeup on it in 1 of the SCN issues awhile back. Title of the article was, "14 For 14 With a 14."

Yip, tis me. Have never met the man, but we have swapped a few emails. He was kind enough to snailmail me a copy of his load log for the .14-221 Walker Fireball. And yip, I have one of his "plates" on hand, kind of waiting on a barreled action from Lawrence Rifle Barrels in Montana. Just got my copy of The Varmint Hunter today, looking forward to reading it.

Great-- i necked down 150 6 BR's to 20 BR in less than 2 hrs. couple days ago using his "plate". Man what a great system.

While u're reading TVHM let me know what u think of article #2.

Read yours-- great writeup.

Whoops, maybe more than one person with the call-sign RareBear; I am unpublished. On another note I have every copy of Small Caliber News ever printed; I'll even admit to having read several issues more than once cheers. This small caliber disease is contagious and Blaine Eddy and Todd Kindler have played no small part in it.
