Jimno2506Is April too early for Prairie Dogs in South Dakota?
Shooters,
I may be doing some work in SD next April. Is this going to be too early for PDs or not?
Thanks,
Jim

That depends. If you will be on private land then nope, it is not too early. If you are going to be on public land then you will have to wait until June 16. Public land is closed to PD shooting Jan 30(?) through Jun 15. If you are looking to shoot on one of the reservations then you may still be in luck as they fall under tribal management and not State.
Shoot me a PM with the whereabouts you gonna be.

iirangerBEWARE the weather. That part of the world has seen many, many blizzards in April and May. If the weather is nice, go for it and ENJOY. But if not, ... beware...
