.243 fur loads
Any of you guys have a load for the .243 that will not shred a coyote ? Looking to take a few good pelts this fall and need a good load .

20 years ago up in Idaho Falls I was using the Speer 90 grn fmj pushed by a maximum charge of IMR4064. From 30-300 yards it made a pinhole all the way through the yotes.

You may want to consider using a reduced load in the 243 in order to reduce pelt damage. I have fired reduced loads in my 243 and they are very accurate in my rifle. Those reduced loads will take small game at any reasonable hunting range. My 243 produces 1/2" groups at 100 yards and do less damage to pelts.
