Expansion performance of .224" 68,69 gr. S., Hor., Nosler, and Starke's
Anybody done any varminting (especially coyote's) with the 68 Horn. or 69 Sierra, Nosler, or Starke's. I know these are not designed for this use, but neither were the various 52, and 53's. Anybody got any experience with their performance in this area??

Not those but I have shot hundreds of Springbok and Blesbok, a few deer and pronghorns, and quite a number of coyotes with the 60 Gr. Hornady H.P. and I guarentee you that you will like that bullet on coyotes and even deer, in anything from a 222 to a 22-250...

thanks Atk. I've used that bullet extensively on coy. as well as Sierra's equivalent, and they performed perfectly. I'm trying to research the performance of these middleweights on coyotes for an article in Varmint Hunter mag. about long-range coy. sniping using long-range reticles, high B.C. bullets, laser rangefinders, etc. I'll be using a customized AR in .223 Ackley Improved, although I think I'm using too small a case capacity??
