I've used both 55 and 70 grain Ballistic Tips in my .243 HB with great success. I recently picked up some Sierra 70 grain Blitzkings at an attractive price, but haven't had a chance to try them yet. Wondering if anyone would care to care to compare the two in terms of accuracy and downrange performance?

Can't speak for the .243s but in my Hornets and my .222 the BlitzKings shoot better than Noslers. I also prefer the terminal performance of the Sierras - they seem a great deal more explosive.

I've shot ballistic tips and BKs in my 22-250AI. The BTs grouped very tightly. However, using my Stoney Point OAL gauge I noticed that there was a lot of variance in the loaded BTs. The BKs varied by less than 1thou'. This may be important for accuracy at extreme range.

I use the Nosler 70gr Balistic Tips in my .243Win. and 6mm Rem. and find them very accurate, but no more so than the Sierra 70gr HPBTs. There's not much to choose between the two in terms of accuracy, but the Sierra is the Matchking not the Blitzking. Best wishes.

Got a chance to try the Blitz King 70's yesterday. I loaded just 3 rounds with the same load as I'm using with Ballistic Tips (less 1 grain of powder as a caution due to bullet change and a different brand of brass).

The three shot group went into about .66". This gun averages .5" with the Ballistic Tips, but BT groups run from .25" up to .85" depending on wind, light, phase of the moon, and blood alcohol content of the shooter; so from this one very limited test, I'd say the BK's are certainly worth a look.
