i've missed my share of varmints over the years, but sometimes it was worth it. Just watching a coyote put it into high gear when he realized he'd been shot at, or a crow that almost falls out of its tree, or a prairie dog wondering what the hell was that. i do believe the misses were almost as much fun as the hits

I agree with that. I have had quite a bit of fun missing groundhogs and tree rats with the .36 caliber flintlock. They just don't know what to make of it.

I've had my fair share of chuckles. Especially coyotes running with their tail under their chin as fast as they can to get away
