IronWorker37822-250AI shooting a 52gr A-Max
Shooting a 52gr Hornady A-Max at 3900FPS will that work for coyotes? How about if it hits him in the shoulder? My rifle has a 1in 14 twist rifling rate. I've tried Hornady 60 gr V-Maxs. They shoot poorly.55gr V-Maxs gives no better than MOA.Getting under a half with A-Maxs. Another hunter recomends the seirra 55gr HP.But will it stablize?

Jeffers55gr flat base bullets have worked well in any .22/250 with a 1 in 14 I've ever owned. Anything travelling at the velocity your pushing things will be very destructive when it hits soft tissue although I've found the A-Max is'nt as explosive as the V-Max at longer ranges.
If you have no luck with the 55's give the 50gr V-Max a try, they have been very accurate in my rifles and deadly out to around 350yds.
