I just returned from town where I stopped in at the local miniature pawn shop/sport shop.
There on the wall was a VERY attractive and modern looking Ruger Rifle.
It was called the "X-17" and is going to be a limited run of 500 Rifles only.
It appears to be a regular Ruger M-77/17 V/T in a whoop-de-doo new futuristic looking laminated stock.
The stock is somewhat reminiscent of the new Remington XR-100 with the addition of another "lightening hole" in the buttstock.
The stock also has an attractive grip cap with the Ruger "eagle" logo embossed there.
I have one of the early Ruger 77/17 V/T's in 17 HMR caliber and I really have been impressed with it!
Over all I really liked the looks and feel of this Rifle but it was pricey - at $630.00!
I have not seen this new Ruger Rifle advertised anywhere. Has anyone else seen or heard of this limited run Ruger?

I saw it looks great.......................but why do a limited run, gear up and offer i to everyone, I suppsoe it will not make it to oz..................like all the nice winchester 1886 repor's that never get here.

PC: Where did you see this Rifle? I mean was it in a magazine or on-line or at a store?
If its online I would love the site directions.
I better go check Ruger.com - to start.

I am sure this is something that has been ordered by one of the larger dealers like Davidson's out of Arizona...

Troll thru Ruger's web sites and it will usually list "specials" that they are doing.. and it will normally list those as "Dealer Exclusives"...
