OkieNewtonVarmint calling chair
I saw on tv the other day some guys had a short fold up chair for staying low to the ground and calling. Noticed this past weekend where I wanted to call as to have a tree behing me was not good. Any idea where to get one of these would be appreciated.

MickinColoI found this one interesting. It's at Cabela's
MickinColo,
That's just right for a calling chair.
Thanks for posting the pix.

erictThat chair looks cozy. The places I hunt for coyotes and fox allow me to sit in a higher chair. The one thing I have found very handy is a three-legged chair because it is much easier to keep from wobbling than a four.
You may also find many of the turkey hunting sections carrying these short type of chairs or stools.

groundhog devastationThere's all kinds of "chairseats" out there most of them are going to be found in the "turkey hunting" sections. There are some very neat and usefull chairseats that are made into backpacks used in turkey hunting. GHD

FRANKIE2000I got one of the chairs pictured above the other day. It is called a gobbler lounger. It is very comfortable and it leans back at a perfect angle for easy shooting position. I haven't hunted out of it yet, will do that in a few weeks for turkey, but I can see that it wouldn’t be a problem sitting in it all day. The down side to it is that it is a little bulky but with a few straps I rigged it so that I can attach it to my day pack and problem is solved.

Bob in TXI have been using the same fold-up stool for 10+ years. It is about time to get a new one. I still like these though. It gets me up over the grass/ground cover, is light weight and not too bulky to lug around.

Mick, I could not see you image so I'm not sure if I'm talking about what you posted or not.
Okie,
I think you are talking about what some call a beach chair. I saw them in Sportsman's Warehouse in OKC before it closed but failed to buy one. If you are near a locaton that is still open, you might try there. Cabelas might be another option.
Good shooting.

I’m sorry Cliff,
I thought the thread was over so I deleted it. You’ll find it on Cabela’s website.
I own a stool like Bob in TX has. It works just fine, but that short legged lounge chair looks a lot more comfy.

I don’t know if it’s practical or not for varmint hunting but it looked interesting.

groundhog devastationBOB!!! You're using a semi-auto type rifle for something besides killing people!!!! DAMMIT MAN!! Those guns aren't useful for anything other than their intended purpose!! What will the DNC think of you???? My geuss it that you don't think about the DNC when Wilee Coyote is in your sights!!! .................and about the seat..........a lot of folks make turkey hunting stools and they should be available at your local sporting goods store!! They were at mine until I sold my interest out at the first of the year. GHD
